ASICS SPORTSTYLE GEL-LYTE III OG <DRIED ROSE>
Ahead of the 35th anniversary of the birth of GEL-LYTE III in 2025, this is the second special project in which Shigeyuki Kunii, who serves as the creative director of mita sneakers and is involved in a wide range of sneaker projects from global projects to domestic in-line direction, has been invited as a design creator.
The GEL-LYTE III is a lightweight running shoe released in 1990, which represents ASICS sports style and features a "split tongue" structure that divides the shoe tongue vertically into two large parts to improve the fit. This model, called "Dried Rose", is a color proposal model that follows the design concept of the GEL-LYTE V, which was released in 2014 as a collaboration with mita sneakers. In addition, it has special specifications such as a zippered "split tongue", quilting, TPU mesh, pull tabs, piping, mita sneakers' icon, the CHAIN LINK FENCE, and a graphic inner sole that combines the "Tokyo Kai" which means "TOKYO CUSTOM MADE" in homage to the original design.
This shoe is a comparison of a performance model that is constantly evolving to a short-lived flower, and is imbued with the idea that by making some adjustments, it will continue to shine forever.
Dyed in different tones of rose red, this global limited edition expresses the beautiful world of dried roses.
