A special project to revive epoch-making models that are the pride of ASICS Sports Style in a modern way through Japan will be launched in 2024. Shigeyuki Kunii, who is the creative director of mita sneakers and has participated in a wide range of sneaker projects from global projects to domestic in-line direction, was invited to be the design creator. Based on the classic archive that tells the history of the brand, we will propose products that create new value and exude an atmosphere that meets modern needs.
Following on from the GEL-LYTE lll series, the GEL-YETI is an after-shoe released in 2000 that was developed to relax the feet after trail running. The functional and unique silhouette that incorporates design elements from the TRANSCEND series has attracted attention in the street scene, and this one-of-a-kind product has been developed for lifestyle use since 2003. In addition to the mushroom-inspired colors, this work has been rearranged with shoelaces with stoppers that emphasize ease of putting on and taking off and fitting, and a cork inner sole that has antibacterial, deodorizing, and moisture-regulating properties. It is a special pair of shoes with a sophisticated finish that combines excellent functionality and a design that stands out on the street at a high level.
