JASON MARKK PFOA-FREE REPEL
Jason Markk has developed a water repellent spray that is completely PFOA-free.
PFOA-free Repel creates a durable, breathable barrier to keep out moisture and dirt. It is a water-based product, so you can use it safely on absorbent materials such as leather, suede, nubuck, canvas, cotton, nylon, knit, cloth, and mesh. Non-aerosol Repel is an eco-friendly water repellent spray that is VOC-free and does not contain PFOA, PFAS, or PFCs (organic fluorine compounds). It maintains high water repellency and stain resistance while being environmentally friendly. It is superior to aerosol waterproof sprays without harming the earth, and protects large areas quickly and evenly with its continuous spray function and fine mist injection. It can be used not only on footwear but also on hats, bags, apparel, etc.
What is PFOA?
Perfluorooctanoic acid is an organic fluorine compound and is a type of perfluoroalkyl phosphate (PFAS) chemical that is found in everything from furniture and electrical wiring to the non-stick coating on your frying pans. PFAS have very strong atomic bonds that make them difficult to break down, so they are said to take decades to be excreted from the body and hundreds of years to disappear from the environment, and are also known as "forever chemicals."
PFOA has been linked to many serious health problems ranging from weakened immune function to kidney and testicular cancer, and can have toxic effects on the liver and other organs. In terms of its environmental impact, PFOA easily leaches into soil and can contaminate groundwater.

DIRECTIONS:
Make sure the material is absorbent, clean and dry. Hold the sprayer about 15 cm away from the material and spray the entire surface until it is thoroughly absorbed. Overspraying can cause dripping and stains. Wipe off excess water with a dry towel. Pull the lever continuously to spray continuously. Allow the material to dry completely after spraying. This bottle can be used for up to 24 pairs of shoes with one coating. If you want a stronger, longer-lasting water-repellent effect, repeat the same process. *Not recommended for uncoated leather or leather that is prone to stains such as tanned leather.
