The original AIR MAX was released in 1987. It was the first model to feature visible Air.
This work is the fourth collaboration with Patta, a store located in the center of Amsterdam, Netherlands, where fashionable young people visit endlessly in search of tomorrow's wear. Since opening in 2004, Patta has been creating the Dutch street scene and has collaborated with sneaker brands including NIKE.
The Air Max 1 has been updated with a surprising new design, where the mudguard, which is usually straight, is cut into a wavy pattern, creating a smooth wave. Apart from the small swoosh on the toe side, the mesh and leather paneling remain the same as the original. This emphasizes the curved beauty of the wavy mudguard, creating a design that defies common sense.
