asics × MITA SNEAKERS GEL-LYTE III OG GTX

Ahead of the 35th anniversary of the birth of GEL-LYTE lll in 2025, this is the third special project in which Shigeyuki Kunii, who serves as the creative director of mita sneakers and is involved in a wide range of sneaker projects from global projects to domestic in-line direction, has been invited to serve as a design creator.

The GEL-LYTE lll is a lightweight running shoe that represents the ASICS sports style and was released in 1990. It features a split tongue structure that divides the shoe tongue into two large vertical parts to improve the fit.

This model, titled Black Panther, is a color proposal model that follows the design concept of the GEL-LYTE III (released in 2010) and GEL-MAI (released in 2017), which were created in collaboration with mita sneakers with a black panther theme.

In addition to being equipped with ＜GORE-TEX®＞, which provides excellent waterproof and breathable properties, the shoes are specially made up with familiar details seen in collaborations with the store, such as a split tongue with a zipper, quilting, TPU mesh, pull tabs, piping, and an inner sole with a graphic that combines ＜CHAIN LINK FENCE＞ and ＜Tokyo Kai＞. This global limited edition model is finished in monochrome to create an urban mood, and features leopard-printed nylon and a vibrant heel tab as an accent.
