ASICS SPORTSTYLE GEL-KAYANO 14
The design is based on the GEL-KAYANO 14, which won the INTERNATIONAL Editor's Choice award from the American running magazine RUNNER'S WORLD in 2008.
The GEL-KAYANO 14 was designed by Hidenori Yamashita, who replaced Shunichi Kayano, who had been involved with the GEL-KAYANO series since its inception, and inherited the excellent functions and designs of the previous models while infusing them with Yamashita's unique sensibility. While incorporating design tastes seen in the 2000s, such as a voluminous silhouette created by distributing appropriate materials according to the part of the shoe, the GEL technology installed in the midsole, which functions as a shock absorber, and other functions and structures that represent the GEL-KAYANO series, were retained.
