VANS LX OLD SKOOL × YUSUKE HANAI

The Premium Old Skool is part of a collection created by Vans in collaboration with world-renowned artist Yusuke Hanai.

The Vans Artist Collection conveys the creativity of Asia's most talented artists to the world through Vans products. This time, they appointed Yusuke Hanai, who was strongly influenced by the surf and counter culture of the 1950s-70s. A unique collection has been created by fusing Japanese aesthetics with the retro sensibility of the American West Coast.

The base of the upper is the key color "Stormy Weather" gray, a color reminiscent of cloudy skies during a storm. The side panels feature an illustration drawn by Hanai specifically for this collaboration, and the hand-drawn side stripes and foxing lines create a unique presence. On the sidewall Based on the concept of "having a rebellious spirit, but moving forward one step at a time towards a better future," the shoes are engraved with the message "One Foot In Front Of The Other," making them a special pair that embodies Hanai's philosophy.

Hanai also has strong feelings about environmental issues such as climate change and marine conservation. In this collaboration, they have focused on using materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible, such as using renewable canvas fabric for the upper and the SOLA FOAM ADC insole, a high-resilience polyurethane foam that contains 30% bio-based materials.
