Since the late 1960s, 100% cotton fleece material was deemed dangerous under the US Fire Code, and polyester, acrylic, and rayon were added. This product is a half-zip hooded sweatshirt from the series that reproduces the acrylic blend "REVERSE WEAVE(R)" used in the late 1970s. It is 90% cotton and 10% acrylic, faithfully reproducing the mixture ratio at that time. It is characterized by its unique volume and texture, knitted on an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine. The "USAFA" printed on the chest is a motif of the United States Air Force Academy, and uses the same design as the products supplied to the school by Champion in the 1970s. The zipper is made by TALON, a US company that invented the world's first zipper in 1893. The slider is a cam lock type that is held down by hand before the advent of mechanical locks, and uses a valuable stock from the 1960s onwards, rather than a reproduction. The name tag is a 1970s model "blue single tag" (blue single color tag). The absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also a feature of the original.
