CHAMPION TRUE TO ARCHIVES REVERSE WEAVE (R) CREWNECK SWEATSHIRT C3-A028

In the late 1960s, 100% cotton fleece material was deemed dangerous under American fire safety regulations, and polyester, acrylic, and rayon began to be included.
This product is a crew neck sweatshirt from a series that is a reproduction of the acrylic blend "REVERSE WEAVE(R)" that was used during the late 1970s.
It is made of 82% cotton, 12% acrylic, and 6% rayon, faithfully reproducing the composition of the fabric at the time, with rayon added to give it a heathered look.
It is characterized by its unique volume and texture, achieved by knitting on an old-fashioned sinker knitting machine.
The design is based on that of products that Champion supplied to the United States Military Academy in the 1970s, with the same specifications as the "GUSSET" on the collar and the arrangement of the twill on the left and right sides of the twill tape on the back of the collar, which was also used for name writing.
The contrast in color between the ribbing and body fabric also recreates the texture of the time.
